—Conserving
Outdoor Values
by Educating Youth
QU Junior COVEY is an outdoor
educational experience for youth that strives to teach responsible use of
our renewable natural resources, insuring that the next generation of
sportsmen and conservationists will have the same opportunities as all
previous generations to experience all aspects of the great outdoors.
The Junior Covey Magazine has seen
some exciting new updates. There are now puzzles and games for our younger
readers. Our older readers will find articles on habitat development, hunter
safety and plenty of stories of local chapters and the work they are doing
with the kids.
Each summer there are several chapter sponsored
Covey Camps or Youth Days that junior members are encouraged to attend.
The camps are designed to provide today's youth with both an
understanding and an appreciation of our cherished natural resources and
wise management of those resources. Watch for the 2008 summer calendar of
events.
Youth Memberships—Youths 17 years and
under receive a full year of Quail Unlimited® Magazine (six issues), plus a
membership card and a Quail Unlimited® decal. The cost is just $15. (Groups
of 25 or more submitted are only $10). |
